| Text Editing / Proofing | You
provide copy, ready for use, in electronic form (html, rtf, ansi, ascii-windows,
etc.) by e-mail, ftp, or on CD (Windows compatible.) Text scanning is available
at added cost. Handwritten text is acceptable, at considerable added cost. I analyze the text, in conference with you, to determine the posture and approach that will best accomplish your purposes. Every effort is made to minimize the effect of editing so that your voice comes through clearly. Standard reference works are used where appropriate, to enhance and confirm the points made in your original text. Your material will be edited for clarity, intent, format, and standard English, using the same references noted above. It is also independently proofed for grammatical, spelling, and formatting errors. One or more drafts are typically tendered to you for clarification before the final version is printed and sent to you in one of the forms noted above. Since the original material is yours, there is no question of rights under copyright law. |
| Creative Writing | I
will create original text based on information you provide in written form,
or during interviews by me. This process can be very time-consuming, and
therefore costly. Drafts will be submitted to you for acceptance and clarification. On completion of the final draft, I will assist you with printing and publication, to the best of my abilities, with the understanding that I am neither a publisher nor a printer. Copyright rights are assigned to you on payment of the invoiced amount. Confidentially is guaranteed. |
