I started working after school in 1946 and became active in business as an individual in 1966. "Laudeman, Pty." was established in 1987 in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee. I "officially" retired from full-time business in 1996.

My full-time working life began in 1953 while still in college, with a 3-year hiatus while serving in the U.S. Regular Army (Korean vet.) Following my return to civilian life, I married Annabelle Coughlin and we raised seven children. During the ensuing years I owned or managed several businesses and have been responsible for millions of dollars worth of international engineering projects.
