As you can see, my
Elite suffers from salt poisoning after its years in Pennsylvania and
Ohio. Drat. This view from the right front toward the left rear shows the brake pedal arm and the right end of the cross shaft. |

for the out-of-focus; these were taken blind off the garage floor. This is looking from the left rear toward the right front. |

Similar
to the above but a little better sharpness. The sheetmetal panel held by two screws is apparently there to protect the anti-start switch from road water. The black small-diameter wire is from that switch. It looks like a bolt is missing, but nothing wobbles or seems to be missing there. Hhmmm. I will take another photo from directly rear to better visualize the brake operator lever connection. |

Okay - so you can't see the brake lever connection no matter where you put the camera!
